Deep within Olympic National Park lies the Hoh Rain Forest, an ancient landscape where time moves at nature’s pace. With its towering trees, moss-laden branches, and abundant rainfall, this pristine wilderness is one of the finest examples of a temperate rainforest in the world. Olympic National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is known for its ecological diversity, stretching from rugged ocean shores to glacier-fed rivers and misty mountain peaks.
While exploring the Hoh Rain Forest, I came across a small waterfall tumbling gently over mossy rocks and fallen logs, eventually settling into a serene pool below. Typically, this forest remains under a blanket of fog or an overcast sky, but on this rare day, beams of sunlight peeked through the dense canopy, casting highlights across the landscape. The soft glow brought an incredible interplay of shapes and colors to life, creating a scene that felt both ethereal and timeless.
