My journey to photograph Horseshoe Bend began in the early morning darkness. Hiking a mile through sand and stone with only a headlamp for guidance, I approached the edge of the cliff with extreme caution. Positioning my camera just inches from the 1,000-foot drop, I worked quickly to capture the scene before the sun broke the horizon. The effort paid off as the soft light revealed the vibrant colors of the canyon and the flowing Colorado River, creating a stunning and unforgettable image.
