Tampa, Florida
Tampa, Florida’s modern skyline offers a striking display of contemporary design, where clean lines, bold geometry, and repeating forms come together to create visually captivating scenes. In the heart of downtown near the cruise ship terminal, architectural elements suce as layered balconies and sweeping curves reflect the rhythm and energy of the city. When seen through a black-and-white lens, these details transform into a powerful study of contrast, pattern, and light, revealing the artistic beauty within modern architecture.
For me, photographing modern architecture has always been about discovering how shapes and light interact to create something extraordinary. Before catching a flight out of Tampa, I found myself with a few unexpected hours and headed downtown to explore. I was drawn to a building near the cruise terminal where repeating balconies created a mesmerizing pattern. As I moved around, capturing different perspectives, the composition came to life, and I knew I had something special. The final image, titled “Infinite Balconies,” became a study in repetition, depth, and graphic design, an image I instantly fell in love with.
