Its upper deck offers breathtaking views of the river and surrounding hills, while its lower deck seamlessly connects Porto's bustling riverside with Vila Nova de Gaia, home to the city’s famous wine cellars. The bridge is not just a transit point but a cultural symbol that has defined Porto's identity for over a century.

The Dom Luís I Bridge was a muse during my visit to Porto, a city I quickly fell in love with. To capture its grandeur, I climbed to the Monastery of Serra do Pilar as twilight descended, allowing the warm glow of streetlights to illuminate the bridge and city below. The scene was magical, and the elevated perspective provided a perfect balance of architectural beauty and urban charm.
