The iconic "L" train has been an essential part of Chicago since the 1800s, contributing greatly to the city’s development. It connects the outer suburbs and diverse neighborhoods to the bustling downtown, weaving its way through the city’s cultural and historical core. From museums to theaters, the "L" passes by many of Chicago’s most cherished landmarks.
Because the "L" is elevated above street level, finding the right location to photograph it presents a challenge. I spent considerable time scouting and eventually discovered a parking garage near the Merchandise Mart that offered the perfect viewpoint. After multiple attempts, I was finally able to capture the train moving along the tracks in a sweeping S-curve, bathed in just the right light.
