Spiral staircases have always captivated me. Whether grand or modest, they possess a timeless beauty that feels both architectural and organic. Their curves mirror patterns found in nature, from nautilus shells to galaxies, making them both functional and deeply artistic. Whenever I travel, I’m always on the lookout for these stunning structures, as each one tells its own story through its shape, materials, and surroundings.
The photograph “Twisted Beauty” was an unexpected find in a London furniture store. The elegant curves of the staircase immediately caught my eye, but it was the warm glow of the lights hanging down the center that made the scene truly magical. The lights broke the repetition of the staircase, adding contrast and warmth to the composition. This image is one of my favorite examples of how even the most unexpected places can reveal extraordinary beauty.
