"Wave of Light and Glass" showcases the striking architecture of Chicago’s Lake Building, where precision and elegance blend seamlessly. The building’s façade, composed of repetitive glass panels, is broken by a gentle, sweeping curve that creates the illusion of movement. This wave-like feature introduces a dynamic contrast, transforming the rigid lines into a fluid dance of light and reflection.
The reflective quality of the glass was what initially drew me to photograph this building. As I observed the shifting reflections of the sky, I noticed how the smooth wave in the building’s design softened the otherwise sharp geometry. Capturing the exact moment when the sunlight highlighted this curve was key to bringing out the true essence of the building’s architecture.
