The Mafra National Palace, located in Mafra, Portugal, is a monumental Baroque structure that reflects the grandeur of 18th-century Portuguese architecture. Built as a convent, palace, and basilica by King João V, it houses one of the most extraordinary libraries in the world. Photographing the Mafra Palace Library was an unforgettable experience. Tucked behind a roped line to preserve the space’s integrity, I had the privilege of capturing this stunning interior without the rush of crowds. With its immense scale and intricate details, the library exceeded my expectations. Ada Covered Bridge in Cheer

The Ada Covered Bridge, also known as the "Bradfield Bridge," is a charming historic structure located in Ada, Michigan. Built in 1867, this 125-foot-long bridge spans the Thornapple River and is one of the few remaining covered bridges in the state. Its unique construction and picturesque surroundings make it a beloved landmark, especially during the winter months when snow blankets the landscape and holiday lights enhance its nostalgic beauty.

While visiting Grand Rapids, Michigan, where I grew up, I stumbled upon the Ada Covered Bridge shortly after a snowfall just before Christmas. To my surprise, the bridge was illuminated with festive Christmas lights, creating a magical scene. I captured the image, which became a personal favorite. One of my close friends admired the photograph so much that they displayed it above their fireplace mantel. Every time I see it in their home, I can’t help but smile, remembering that special moment.
