Strahov’s Grand Baroque Interior
$1,500.00
The Strahov Library, nestled within the Strahov Monastery, is one of the most renowned libraries in the world. Established in the 17th century, its two main halls—the Theological Hall and the Philosophical Hall—are masterpieces of Baroque and Rococo design. These halls house thousands of ancient texts and manuscripts, with intricately painted ceilings depicting allegories of knowledge and faith. The library stands as a testament to Prague’s dedication to preserving art, culture, and history.
The highlight of my trip to Prague was the rare opportunity to photograph inside the Strahov Monastery Library. While most visitors are restricted to viewing from the doorway, I was granted special access by the library’s director to spend one hour inside. Walking among the towering bookshelves and beneath the beautifully painted ceilings was a surreal experience. I became so immersed in capturing the incredible details of this historic space that I lost track of time. Exactly one hour later, I was kindly reminded that my time was up—but the images I captured will remain with me forever.

Ada Covered Bridge in Cheer
The Ada Covered Bridge, also known as the "Bradfield Bridge," is a charming historic structure located in Ada, Michigan. Built in 1867, this 125-foot-long bridge spans the Thornapple River and is one of the few remaining covered bridges in the state. Its unique construction and picturesque surroundings make it a beloved landmark, especially during the winter months when snow blankets the landscape and holiday lights enhance its nostalgic beauty.
While visiting Grand Rapids, Michigan, where I grew up, I stumbled upon the Ada Covered Bridge shortly after a snowfall just before Christmas. To my surprise, the bridge was illuminated with festive Christmas lights, creating a magical scene. I captured the image, which became a personal favorite. One of my close friends admired the photograph so much that they displayed it above their fireplace mantel. Every time I see it in their home, I can’t help but smile, remembering that special moment.
