Antelope Canyon Sandstone’s Dance
$1,100.00
Antelope Canyon, located near Page, Arizona, is one of the most photographed slot canyons in the world. This stunning natural wonder, carved by centuries of water and wind erosion, features undulating sandstone walls illuminated by beams of sunlight that create a magical interplay of light and shadow. Antelope Canyon is divided into two sections—Upper and Lower—each offering unique photographic opportunities and breathtaking views. It’s a sacred place for the Navajo Nation, adding cultural significance to its natural beauty.
When I first started college, one of my instructors showed us a black-and-white photograph of Antelope Canyon, and I was completely mesmerized. Growing up in the Midwest, I had never seen anything like it. That image stayed with me, and when the chance came to visit Antelope Canyon, I didn’t hesitate. Walking down the ladder into the canyon felt surreal. Once inside, I was captivated by the intricate shapes of the sandstone and how the light filtered down from above, transforming the space into an otherworldly scene. It was a truly unforgettable experience.

Ada Covered Bridge in Cheer
The Ada Covered Bridge, also known as the "Bradfield Bridge," is a charming historic structure located in Ada, Michigan. Built in 1867, this 125-foot-long bridge spans the Thornapple River and is one of the few remaining covered bridges in the state. Its unique construction and picturesque surroundings make it a beloved landmark, especially during the winter months when snow blankets the landscape and holiday lights enhance its nostalgic beauty.
While visiting Grand Rapids, Michigan, where I grew up, I stumbled upon the Ada Covered Bridge shortly after a snowfall just before Christmas. To my surprise, the bridge was illuminated with festive Christmas lights, creating a magical scene. I captured the image, which became a personal favorite. One of my close friends admired the photograph so much that they displayed it above their fireplace mantel. Every time I see it in their home, I can’t help but smile, remembering that special moment.
