Lights Dance Around Arc de Triomphe
$1,100.00
The Arc de Triomphe, completed in 1836, stands as a symbol of French national pride and historical significance. Commissioned by Napoleon to honor his victories, the monument is situated at the western end of the Champs-Élysées and serves as a central hub for 12 radiating avenues. Its intricate sculptures and grand proportions make it one of Paris’s most visited and photographed landmarks.
When I arrived to photograph the Arc de Triomphe, I was captivated by the vibrant energy surrounding it. With crowds of people and the constant flow of cars and bikes circling the monument, I knew I wanted to capture this liveliness. I set my camera low to the ground and used a long exposure to transform the motion into mesmerizing light streaks. The final image, with its dynamic interplay of light and movement, perfectly conveys the spirit of this iconic location.

Ada Covered Bridge in Cheer
The Ada Covered Bridge, also known as the "Bradfield Bridge," is a charming historic structure located in Ada, Michigan. Built in 1867, this 125-foot-long bridge spans the Thornapple River and is one of the few remaining covered bridges in the state. Its unique construction and picturesque surroundings make it a beloved landmark, especially during the winter months when snow blankets the landscape and holiday lights enhance its nostalgic beauty.
While visiting Grand Rapids, Michigan, where I grew up, I stumbled upon the Ada Covered Bridge shortly after a snowfall just before Christmas. To my surprise, the bridge was illuminated with festive Christmas lights, creating a magical scene. I captured the image, which became a personal favorite. One of my close friends admired the photograph so much that they displayed it above their fireplace mantel. Every time I see it in their home, I can’t help but smile, remembering that special moment.
